I’m A Hypocrite

I do not claim to be morally or intellectually superior to anyone as I write any of these posts. I do this for entertainment purposes only (mostly my own entertainment), and hopefully it entertains a few people along the way.

I often criticize institutions, traditions, customs, belief systems, and sometimes even people… but I don’t claim to have an answer, nor do I claim to be righteous. I’m just a regular guy. Actually, I’m not even as good as a regular guy.

I’m Not An Activist

I take my kids to McDonald’s now and then and I don’t feel guilty or ashamed

I don’t buy all organic foods (although I do think spraying our foods is evil)

My kids eat candy

I use disposable cups when I get coffee on the go (Styrofoam n’ such)

I often shop in supermarkets

I shop at Wal-Mart sometimes

I’m Not Religious

I take my kids to Sunday school and I even go church once in a while although… Your Holy Book Is Evil

I celebrate Christmas and Easter even though… Easter is Satanic

I Have A Criminal Record

I got arrested so many times when I was younger I lost count. Luckily for me I never had to do any real time and my record doesn’t look that bad on paper. Some people are doing serious time for far less.

My record barely speaks to what I’ve done. I have broken all Ten Commandments in some manner, shape, or form. I have made lots of bad decisions. Some of them affected others and some didn’t.

I’m Not An Academic 

I’m not an academic or a scholar. You won’t see me referencing scientific journals and the like because this simply ain’t that kinda blog.

I’m Not A Prophet 

I don’t claim to have any esoteric knowledge. There is nothing new under the sun. I call it Slick Truth not because it’s the gospel according to me (Slick Is my last name) and not because I never lie. I call it Slick Truth because it’s My Story.

I Don’t Know Anything

I’m a lifelong student of life. I don’t claim to have any answers. I’m constantly re-evaluating my positions on things. I never get closure.

Everyday I’m still trying to figure out who I am, how to live, and what’s right. I can’t solve any problems for you or give you any deep insights, nor is it my intention to.

This Blog Is Pointless

One may think this blog is pointless. It’s aimless and has no central theme. I enjoy analyzing things and telling stories to ad nauseam and my life’s experiences have provided me with scrolls of them. Some of them are pretty interesting and that’s the SlickTruth
